Hi, I am planning to buy the apple care plan for my MBP 13.
The machine is with apple right now for service and I expect it back by the end of this month.
Now, the problem is that my warranty expires at the end of this month -

Can I add apple care even when I dont have the mac with me physically?

Thanks

Yes, you just need the serial number.

May I know, why Apple has your Mac until the end of May? That's almost four weeks, what is wrong with your Mac or are you in such a remote location, that you have to have it shipped horse mail? Did they at least offer you a temporary replacement?

Yes. You can register by phone or on-line. LA Computer is usually the cheapest place to buy it. If you want to register by phone, use the number on the AppleCare box
