Hey folks,

I’m hoping to buy a new iPhone 11 online - PWM issues have forced me to give up my OLED iPhone 15 Pro.

Anyone know if a new iPhone 11 would be eligible for AppleCare+?…

Ta!

Is it being sold as new from an Apple authorized reseller?

If an iPhone still falls within the standard Apple one year warranty period, it’s eligible for Apple Care+.

But iPhone 11 doesn’t cost much these days. Insurance for it may not be worth the cost.

Apple stopped selling the iP 11 2 years ago, and it is still supported. Best you can do is to submit a support form to start AppleCare + , and wait for Apple to reply to that.

Thanks folks. It’s from an online reseller being sold as new in box. Assume that means it’s still in the 12 month warranty period

If it's not an Apple authorized reseller, the warranty may have already expired as it typically starts at date of original consumer purchase regardless of whether the phone was ever opened/activated. Whether it still has the 12 month warranty will depend on how the phone was acquired by the "online reseller."

That would be true however most resellers sell phones which have previously been activated so you’ll have to enquire with them directly for a straight answer. The new/sealed claim is meaningless.
