Applecare from Amazon for Aussie MBP

Hi All,

Am I able to purchase applecare from Amazon, for a MBP purchased through Australia? There is a significant difference in price if I am able to go down this route.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ello - yes you can do this. I did the same thing for my 13" plastic macbook, and eventually it works out ok.

What happens is you purchase applecare which gets you a serial # to redeem on an online portal. When I went into apple.com.au to register my applecare purchase, I got an error when entering in the information. This went to a manual processing queue & after about a week I got a confirmation from someone who checked the #s manually.

In the end, should be ok to buy applecare from Amazon. I intend on doing this as well
