I pre-ordered an iPhone 13 Pro on the online Apple Store. As part of the checkout process, I also selected a monthly subscription of AppleCare+.

Once the order was complete, I got an email confirmation that mentioned only the iPhone itself, but made no mention whatsoever of the AppleCare+ subscription. Same when I look at my order on Apple's website: Only the iPhone itself is mentioned as part of the order, but not the AppleCare+ subscription.

Has anybody else made the same observation? Is this normal because it's a subscription and is therefore somehow handled separately, or has adding the subscription simply not worked?

Me and my friend have exactly the same issue. Bought AppleCare+ with phone. Phone says it has no AppleCare…

I’ve been on the phone to AppleCare support, I tried purchasing AppleCare through the settings on my new iPhone 13 pro max. Apparently you have to wait 24hrs after activating your new phone before you can get apple care +

In my case it definitely didn't have anything to do with some 24-hour activation waiting time, but the order of my AppleCare+ subscription during the checkout when I bought my phone simply hasn't worked.

I've had to purchase the AppleCare+ subscription separately once my phone had arrived.

Not a huge deal since you have 60 days time to purchase AppleCare+, but it's still quite a bad customer experience to purchase a subscription and then being uncertain for a week whether or not the purchase worked.
