Applecare not being added to total price?

i was just dreaming in the Apple store. what i found was that speccing out a 24'' iMac, adding applecare did not increase the price. is this a glitch? it would be nice to get applecare for free.

now it is your turn to see if this is real or a trick played by my brain.

It looks like it must have been a glitch. In both the US and Australian Apple Store, I'm seeing the price change.

Same here as I just came from there adding things up to see how $$ a 24" would cost me with adding the AppleCare.
