I remember reading articles 2 months ago saying that Apple was planning for AppleCare+ to provide international cover rather than just being valid in the country of purchase.

Anyone knows if this was just a rumour of if it actually happened? Anyone tried to get cover on another continent? (I thin within a region they have always been pretty flexible ...)

Thanks a lot!

I was offered AppleCare+ when I just bought my Air in the UK. It's new over here , they've never offered it before.

I know the AppleCare coverage on the Macs is international. That would be awesome if it was the same for iOS devices.

Thanks. Yes I know it is fairly new outside of the US and Canada. My question is to know if an iPad with AppleCare+ purchased from the US will have warranty cover in Europe.

Here are some of the articles there were about this, but I can't find anything about this on Apple's website:

It doesn't appear that it has been implemented yet, as the AppleCare Terms and Conditions on Apple's site still says:
4. What is not Covered?
4.1 Hardware Service and ADH Coverage Area. Under AppleCare+ for iPhone and AppleCare+ for iPad, Apple may restrict hardware service and ADH coverage to the country where the Covered Device was originally purchased.

Thanks, yes I was also suspecting it is just a rumour even though some of the websites were saying it would start on the 27th of September.
