I know applecare+ is covered on the watch and the band that came with it, but what about any additional bands? I can't seem to find that it is covered. I know airport extremes are covered under your mac's applecare, so does apply the same way since it's considered an accessory?

Only the band that was packaged with your watch is covered. I'm exchanging my Milanese Loop for a sport band and Apple online store told me the Applecare will transfer to that band.

The a la carte bands come with a warranty against defects like any Apple product but are not part of AppleCare. HOWEVER there might be an exception if you bought the bands w/ the watch -- that's a question for Apple I suppose. Sometime companies will include accessories bought at time of the main purchase.

Hmm.. Then I might as well exchange for the link bracelet as its a higher value to warranty.
