Hi,
So, there’s a local guy selling 2020 M1 Macbook Air. Upon checking with Apple, it has AppleCare+ Warranty until 2024. The seller doesn’t mention this. He doesn’t have box. Everything looks and works good he says.

He looks legit but I don’t understand why he doesn’t say the AppleCare +. Can he remove this after my purchase?

What is up with people selling AppleCare for $25 on Ebay?

Isn’t this AppleCare+ worth $200?

OK. I bought the MB Air. Before the purchase, I confirmed with Apple the remaining balance of the standard limited warranty if the seller cancelled the AppleCare+. I was told it would still have warranty until October 28th, 2022! As of now, I currently have warranty until Oct 2024! And the guy said it had no warranty. I have no idea why.

The guy is definitely legit. He just couldn’t use it because some of his software wouldn’t work on M1.

Hope the warranty stays until 2024?

Good luck with that… At least it has a warranty

Yeah, I wouldn’t have purchased if Apple didn’t confirm it has a limited warranty until Oct, 2022. The 2024 is a gamble but for the price I paid, it is well worth to take my chances.

IMO, I didn’t get a killer deal for a used Mac Air BUT with Applecare+, it is a killer deal. I could have brand new Macbook Air during holidays for $800 including tax but this is a better deal IMO. This thing is like new (not a hair on it).

I almost always buy my electronics used unless it doesn’t make sense to buy used. Same with cars. No need to lose 10% the minute you buy.

That killer deal is only going to be one if the seller transfers his AppleCare+ plan over to you. Otherwise you might end up not being able to take advantage of it because it's in the wrong name.

Yeah but I didn’t plan on buying one with Applecare+. That’s just a bonus. If it doesn’t work, I am still happy with my purchase. It is lot less than $1K. Still better than $800.
