A few days ago, I signed up for AppleCare One. Right now, the plan covers three of my devices: my iPhone 16 Pro, 15” MacBook Air M4, and 11” iPad Pro M4. I’m wondering if I should add my Apple Watch S10 Titanium to the plan for an extra $5.99 per month, or if it makes more sense to get separate AppleCare+ coverage at $4.99 per month or $49.99 per year?

I would either pay $4.99 monthly or $49.99 annually vs adding it to AppleCare One. I have the same dilemma and will just pay annually outright instead of paying monthly.

my understanding is that AW AC+ now includes theft/loss - is that $4.99 the new or the old price? also I didn't think you can get annually anymore but I could be wrong about that.
IF the 4.99 includes theft/loss - why pay $1 more?

I decided to go with the annual AppleCare+ plan for my S10 Titanium. It’s $49 plus tax and includes Theft and Loss coverage. That ended up being the cheaper option. Adding it to the AppleCare One plan with my other 3 devices would’ve cost me an extra $72 a year.

Why would you be considering paying more for the same service?

Well, according to sources the 4.99 or 49.99 annual is only renewable for up toa toal of 2 years, where as the new plans are until the device is considered obsolete.

I have monthly for my 13PM and Watch 7, I got these the year these were launched and have monthly AppleCare since and been more than 2 years and yet it renews monthly. I read before that max is 2 years but still renewing monthly after.

Where did you hear this? The Apple site says "$4.99/mo or $49.99/yr until cancelled"

I interpret this to mean they will bill you every month or year until you cancel.

Edit: I went and read the pdf with the actual terms (yeah, I'm bored ;) )

From that document:

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOUR MONTHLY OR ANNUAL PLAN WILL
AUTOMATICALLY RENEW EVERY MONTH OR YEAR, AS APPLICABLE UNLESS AND
UNTIL CANCELLED. FOR IMMEDIATE CANCELLATION GO TO support.apple.com/en-
us/HT202039 ON YOUR COVERED DEVICE AND SELECT “CANCEL A SUBSCRIPTION,”
