Hello,

just had a question. just got an ibook g4 off of ebay and the previous owner never got applecare for it. he states that he bought it just over a year and was wondering how much wiggle room if any apple will give me towards getting applecare for my laptop. has anyone ever gotten applecare for a product thats a tad over a year? is it worth trying?

thanks!!

This is how you'll know if it'll work for you ('cause they'd do the same thing in-store, as well)...

Go here.

Scroll to the right hand side and enter in your computer's serial #; looks like this:

See what the records say.

I wouldn't count on it, but it doesn't hurt to ask. They'll sometimes make an exception for someone who purchased AppleCare before the one year window closed but forgot to register it. But I haven't heard of anyone in your situation having success.
