So I couldn't find this anywhere else, so I apologize if it's been discussed... After a few (read: 5) hardware issues in the past year I've had my 17" MBP, Apple has agreed to send me a new replacement. They said they are refunding my AppleCare (my first 12 months ended 5/15/07) prorated to the number of uses, not time. Has anyone ever heard of this?? I figure that since most of my "usage" was during the first 12 months (which is what the guy I've been talking with at apple told me) that most of my AppleCare price would be refunded... Well today I foudn out that I would only be getting $160 of the $240 (education store) back... has anyone had experience with this or know how they actually calculate the prorate?
thanks...
