Should I fork over the extra $70 for apple care? I don't see the point since they don't cover accidental damage. Any new phone I get I am EXTREMELY careful with... especially now since this is my first iphone and how glorious this piece of hardware is.. already bought an Incase slider and crystal film screen protector... thoughts?

Wait a year to decide.
I think it's silly to buy AppleCare on a phone that you might break, lose, or sell in the next year.

Remember that you can buy AppleCare to extend your warranty and support anytime within the first year (while your default contract is still in place).

Edit: Ninja'd. I still think it's worth it for the better support (calls or in store). Bought it with my 3GS, although I do plan to keep it 2 years.
