Quick question. I looked around and couldn't find a definitive answer for this.

If I purchase an iMac with AppleCare coverage, everything on my purchase is covered under the extended warranty right?

I want to get a 2TB Time Capsule (I know they have problems). If its on the same purchase, is it covered for 3 years?

Thanks

Yes, displays and airport are covered under the same 3 year, but only when the Mac, display/airport, and applecare are all purchased at the same time on the same receipt. You can't buy the applecare within the year, has to be at the time you get the Mac.

I recently purchased a macbook pro. I also plan on buying a macbook and a time capsule within the next 3 months, can i buy ONE plan to cover all 3 items? Or will i have to buy one for my macbook pro and one for my macbook and time capsule (granted i buy the macbook and capsule at the same time) ?

Cool, thanks for the help. I'll buy it all tomorrow.

That fine print "must be purchased up to two years before your Mac purchase" is a little confusing.

two computers means you'll need two applecare plans

I agree, that is why I quoted it
Things aren't entirely "clear cut" when it comes to these devices
I would get clarification when you purchase or call to inquire to be sure if you have any doubts

As far as I know, it's only for the display that you have to purchase together with the computer on the same receipt. For everything else (ie: Airport router, Time Capsule, mice, keyboards) that can purchased at anytime during the course of your AppleCare warranty. My impression for the latter stems from the fact that I've gotten an old Airport Extreme purchased 2 years ago under the AppleCare of my desktop Mac.
