I just ordered Apple care for my 2010 MBP. I also own a 2011 Macbook pro. Does the one Apple care cover both MBPs including the 2011 model after the warranty has expired or does the one Apple care cover just one laptop

When i ordered it, It doesn't ask which model i want it assigned to

When you register you have to put in a serial number. Assuming you are within the 1-year limit to extend Apple Care for a total of 3 years on your 2010 model, you will use up the license. If you purchased AppleCare at the same time as your 2011 MBP and autoenrolled, you've already used up the license.

you cannot redeem the same code twice for 2 different Apple products, and I'm sure the redeem codes are different for the type of mac you own. Like I'm sure if I buy an Applecare for a MBA for an iMac it wouldn't work since MBA Applecare is cheaper.

So i register after my Applecare is delivered?

2 laptops = 2 applecare licenses. There's one license in each box,and you can choose to use that license on either macbook pro. However, you can't use it on 2 macbooks.

Once you get your applecare, you just go online and activate it with the code in the box. I also think that they give you techtool deluxe in the box too.
