I have a PB that I got in March of last year (still under 1 year warranty). The plastic covering is coming off of the power adaptor and I can see bare electrical wire (bad). Can I take this into an Apple store and get a replacement?? ie, is this component under warranty?

Everything thats included with your PowerBook should be covered in AppleCare warranty. So they should replace it free of charge just as long as they don't find you didn't like throw it on the ground on purpose or something like that. Your probably going to have to bring both the PowerBook and the Power Adapter. They may have to do a little background checking just to be sure your PowerBook is still under warranty.
