Ok, I've had lots of ipods, and I've had lots of them break, but we just got an apple store in maine and now I can just bring it to the store. So, my 5.5gen ipod's hd broke so I have an appointment tomorrow. At the store, assuming it can't just be fixed, will they just give you a new one? (which would be a classic) That's what I've heard in the past put i'm not sure. Thanks.

iPods come with a 1 year warranty like computer systems, unless you purchased an AppleCare protection plan that would extend that warranty period to two years.

Oh, sorry, forgot to mention, I have applecare on it. I know everything about applecare, was just wondering specifically on how it works in the store.

Yes they will just replace it with a new one. I've had several problems and they always just replaced it.
