I have AppleCare+ for my iPhone X and I've used one of my accidental damage repairs (£79). Can I still request a prorated refund or transfer the remaining cover to my new device when the time comes?

I don't know if it is possible to get a prorated refund but you can transfer the remaining coverage to a new device

Just to remind you AppleCare+ covers hardware including accessories, software and technical supports with express replacement service for an extra year. I doubt you can prorate it for an extended warranty.

I think you can only request a prorated refund if none of the accidental damages have been used. We refunded my mom's last Christmas after a year by calling AppleCare and it was super easy, but they mentioned it only worked because it wasn't used :/ Not sure if the transfer is the same though. Might as well call and ask!

Call apple care and ask for the Agreements Department.

You can get a pro rated refund but you can’t transfer the coverage to a new device. You can however transfer the ownership if you choose to sell the device.
