My wife got AppleCare+ on her iPhone last year. Her iPad mini just got submerged in the tub on my watch. Mini doesn't have AppleCare+. Has anyone been able to get them to transfer the iPhones care to a mini considering both are the same price?

it isn't possible. you needed to purchase/activate applecare+ specifically for the ipad mini within the first month of ownership.

AppleCare is tied to a device and not a person. Your best bet is to go to make a Genius Bar appointment, go to an Apple Store, and be honest—sometimes they go the extra mile to help you out.
