Hey guys, ive got a 2.4ghz Aluminium macbook that i bought last week. I got applecare with it, but now im confused. Apple upgraded it to 4gb ram, but i upgraded the hard drive. if anything happens to my macbook will i need to take the hard drive out for any repair that happens, or is that also covered under the extended warranty.
Im just confused what it actually does cover and what it doesn't.

Typically it is safe to just install the original hard drive back in the computer before sending it to Apple. Apple has blamed problems on hardware like that before, so it is safer to do it that way. If anything happens to the hard drive that you bought for the laptop (IE not the Apple installed one) then you have to go through the hard drive manufacture. While anything that happens to the MacBook itself will be covered by AppleCare, minus accidental damage.
