My iPhone 4 warranty expires Tuesday. The actual phone is only about 2 months old because it's a replacement, but my warranty is still expiring.

I plan on upgrading at the next iPhone release, whenever that may be. Should I spend the money on AppleCare for this phone? Is it really worth it?

Thanks.

It depends if you plan on reselling or letting someone else use the iPhone after you are done with it. If yes, then getting Applecare might not be a bad idea as it will make it easier to sell (people will trust it more if its under warranty) and of course if the person you give it to has a problem then they are also covered.

If not, then I would say save the money.

Chances are the next iPhone will launch within 12 months or sooner. If you had any major problems they would have already manifested themselves. If you break your phone physically, Applecare wouldn't cover you anyway.
