Apple is allowing anyone who preordered the iphone 4S to still buy AppleCare+ until the end of the day today? Is it worth it? I broke my iPhone 4's screen but was able to replace it myself for $100. I will be keeping the phone atleast until October next year, and if there is a new iPhone at the time, will be purchasing it with my 2 year contract being completed at that time.

EDIT: Does AppleCare+ transfer if I were to sell my phone?

AppleCare is always attached to the device, not the user.

Me? I'm still on the fence. I've never had any kind of AppleCare on my iPhone because I sell it within a year. I no longer work for Apple and the "no freebies" rule is, honestly, ********.

I assume these are decisions Ron Johnson would never have made and certainly ones Steve wouldn't have approved of. I can't wait to see them backpedal once the NPS at the Genius Bar plummets. It's already lower than sales by a decent margin (One to One is the highest, obviously).
