Forgot to buy AppleCare during both phone orders. How do we go about adding it to the phone? I called Apple, they said they can't adjust the orders.

Don't worry you can call apple once you get your phone and add it. U ave 30 days to do it. I have done this for the 4 and 4s with no problems.

Oh and I will do the same thing for my iphone 5

you don't have to go in to the store to do it? it can all be done over the phone?

I either did it over the phone or online. Can't remember which, but I did not have to go to the Apple store for it.

I'm thinking about apple care simply because I'd like to not use a case and the accidental damage coverage may come in handy.

I've owned every iPhone since 2007 in multiple color configurations. I've never had Apple care and never needed it. No wood to knock on. Pardon me while I add it.

Just got an email from Apple saying to reply goths email if I want to add Applecare since I wasn't given the opportunity initially. Have to reply by the 21st to have it added to the original bill I'm guessing.

doesnt it come with one year free applecare?

Every iPhone comes with one year of hardware repair coverage through its limited warranty and up to 90 days of complimentary support. AppleCare+ for iPhone extends your coverage to two years from the original purchase date of your iPhone1 and adds up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a $49 service fee.2

1 year warranty != AppleCare+
