Greetings,

It appears I'm seeing some issues with the Yahoo security breach. I've received about ten e-mails. The security log details someone tried to sign into my Apple ID (multiple devices) and failed. This is being sent to Yahoo, that kicks the e-mail as it could verify the account as valid. Then, yahoo is sending me a note to my work e-mail which is not on any apple id accounts.

I don't feel comfortable providing the transcript as i don't know that I could appropriately censor all the "me-specific" information in the detailed log.

Just figured I'd share and raise awareness.

If it's bothering you, you can always change the email you use for your Apple ID. I've done that before. Not because of security but for longetivity. I may not always be a subscriber to my cable company but I don't foresee losing my free webmail address that I've had since 1999.

In any case, just login via your web browser to Apple's Apple ID page, add the new address and switch your Apple ID to it.
