iPod touch AppleMobileDeviceHelper is no longer working

I loaded iTunes 7.7 and this is the message I get when iTunes is loaded. It creates a new message on the screen every 30 seconds. LOL when I remember that the chap in the O2 shop (retail) said that the difference between Microsoft and Apple was that Apple software did not have bugs in it. C'mon Apple, let's have the fix for this!

Um you have to be more exact on what type of computer you have? PC Or Mac?

It's a PC running Vista Home Edition.
