Seems about par for the course (at least, it sounds like the iPhone 4 launch, only with digital reservation cards).

Does anyone know the phone limit? I'm the dedicated buyer for the family this go-around, and I'm gonna need two 6+'s and two 6's, but I'm not sure what the policy is, as I've only purchased my own phone in the past.

Minimum 1 holdback is more indication that supplies for specific models will be very tight this year...

I think it's two per person.

2?

Remember the guy who paid an army of homeless people to wait in line and buy unlocked phones for cash for him at an Apple Store much to the ire of that watched?

I thought the same thing myself. I think the 6+ is going to be very limited no mater what store or carrier on the 19th. Might not be worth camping out unless you like the first 5 or so.

“Sorry, but we’re out of stock.” “Yeah right!!! Just dip in to that 4%… It’ll be just between you and me *winks*.” *Hands $5 bill.

Pretty cool.. :)

I'm hoping 3AM is early enough because I'm not missing more sleep than that and I can't do lines for more than 5 flippin' hours.

I wonder when pick-up customers should be receiving their text messages... The night before?

Agreed! I think 5 hours is long enough. I doubt I'll actually get one Friday... but I just don't see myself doing an overnight.. Just too many hours.

Keep dreaming..........

Wondering what my option is if I am picking one up that I ordered as well as trying buying one day of.

Yeah, I have a similar dilemma- I preordered a 6+ to be safe but would still like to wait in the regular line so I could get a 6 if I decide the + is not for me. Any insight?

Just curious, why did you guys not pre-order if you're worried about not being in line too long?

I did preorder but the stupid system glitches wouldn't let me order for 2.5 hours so my date is Oct. 1-6. I'm simply not that patient. :)

I preordered 6+ 15min before pre orders went live. Still got ship date of 10-13. I'm going to wait in line friday at the big ATT company store in my town. I know there will be at min a few + there. I'll cancel my preorder on my phone in the store only after I know i'm definitely getting + right there. If not then just hold on to your pre order. Worst case scenario is that they have a + but your upgrade takes 24 hours to reestablish, I'm sure you could just purchase the phone outright and then return your pre order once you get it.

Go early and buy one when they open, Go back and pick up the pre-order when the chaos is over. But if it's the for the same phone number account then you'll have issues on the eligibility reset.

What happens if I want to just try out a phone? Can I do it without losing place in line at 8AM? Can you take 2 cards and drop one later?

I've been watching old Miami Vice lately just for kicks, and read a completely different meaning into "do lines for more than 5 flippin' hours."

So that's how you'll stay awake eh? :)
