I personally expected it, since the camera is thinner, and its not a high end camera with the capability to take bright shots. Side by side comparisons don't really mean anything because the angle can never be exactly duplicated, or the situation can never be replicated....my 4S has the issue and i just shield it.
Also, if its a defect in the camera, it could be upgraded by firmware...hopefully.
