Apple's Back to School Promo strategy

Hi Everyone,

I am just wondering which countries have the free ipod promo and why Apple is choosing to roll out the promo in certain markets and not others. I live in Taiwan and the promo has not started here yet. Meanwhile in Hong Kong it has begun already. I know Taiwan had the promo 2 years ago. Anyone know what is going on and whether i should continue to wait to buy a new apple computer?

The first result for "apple back to school Taiwan" on google is a thread on this forum posted 3 days ago also by bsolomonny on this same topic so i'd say no.

I don't know about last year but we had the back to school free ipod promo in taiwan 2 years ago. Weird that they would not continue the promotion here. This is a market that they have lots of room to grow.

Let me translate it. They had the ipod back to school promo last year from 6/3 to 9/15.
Is this a glimmer of hope? Or am i just SOL (S#@T out of luck).
