Now that school is over and i can afford to be without my computer, I called apple today to get my screen repaired (un-even illumination and yellowish bottom) and i asked if i could get my glossy screen changed out for a matte and the guy said he would put that in. so let's hope they follow through. the guy said that the turn around time would be about a week. is this true? lets hope so.

good luck, bet you get a glossy though. :( thats what you bought after all.

I see no reason for apple to do this. I bet they wont.

good luck for sure though.

I had the same Issue with my 2.4 Penryn Matte. I wanted to try and see if i could get glossy but decided Matte was the way to go. Also they will give you the older LCDs, the ones on the Santa Rosas not the updated ones. Im not sure if they are refurbish or not.

I don't see why they wouldn't if they had to swap out the LCD anyways. If there is another process they use though it might not be as likely. But if he said they would you shouldn't have a reason to believe that they won't.
