I just got my first AW the other day and love it. Been pouring over all the features and reading up on the instructions to get the hang of it all. Noticed on Apple's Close Your Rings website they show instructions for changing your goals as:

  1. Open the Activity app.
  2. Firmly press the display.
  3. Tap Change Move Goal.
  4. Tap + or − to update your goal.
But pressing firmly on my display does nothing in the Activity app. Is it because I have the SE (thought I read something in the past about force touch going away?) or is this an outdated set of instructions?

I see at the bottom of the page in my Activity app an option for changing my goals, so I'm more just curious about why the instructions Apple have on their site either don't work for me or are wrong. Thanks!

There is no pressing firmly on the screen display. Take a look at this link

Thanks! That's the way to do it that I found within the watch myself as well. Odd that Apple would have such a high profile page show incorrect instructions like that, but glad to know it's not an issue with my watch at least.

Yes, in WatchOS 7 apple changed all the force touch options to either long press or an additional menu item (in this case, the latter). So I guess these instructions have not yet been updated. See here for updated instructions:

Ah, good to know. Thanks for clarifying!
