Apple today shared several new short video ads on its UK YouTube channel, highlighting iPhone features like the App Store, Ceramic Shield, Stolen Device Protection, and Find My.

Each ad is about 13 seconds in length, and they are all text-based, providing little tidbits of information about the iPhone's capabilities. For the Find My ad, for example, Apple focuses on parents and children. "Find My on iPhone lets you view your kid's location if you need to," it reads.

The Stolen Device Protection video reminds people that additional iPhone security is available. "Stolen Device Protection adds extra layers of security for your Apple Account if your iPhone is lost or taken."

For the Ceramic Shield ad, Apple compares it to traditional smartphone glass. "Our Ceramic Shield material on iPhone 16 is 2x tougher than any smartphone glass."

The App Store ad highlights Apple's review process, and how it cuts down on malware. "Every app on the App Store is scanned for malware through automated and human review so your device stays secure."

Each ad ends with the tagline "There's more to iPhone," and they link to Apple's "More" iPhone page that highlights a range of different things the iPhone can do.

Apple has shared videos in this style before, and these short ads will likely be shown in short YouTube ad spots and on social networks.

The App Store Malware one makes an excellent point.

No, it really doesn't

macOS Apps get the same treatment and being in the App store is not needed.
This is what they need to do with iOS Apps (make them like macOS Apps already are)

Surprised Apple didn't use the Bella Ramsey ads even though she's from UK.

Oh wait, we know why.

And they would have to block every phone call, email, and physical mail for everyone. It's depressing, but so many people get scammed. Apple can't do that.

A pity so many are so gullible.
It’s not even that. Some scams are so complex even competent people fall for it. There is just not an easy way to stop all scams

These are very simple and to the point and they are nice. I like them.

But I would do much more if I was in charge of these ads or making them myself. Maybe there was a tight budget for these and having a couple inside staff work on them and getting the point across very clearly in words was the objective.

These ads are sterile and uninspired. Makes one think that there’s nothing left in the tank.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Reeks of a "if you don't spend it, you'll lose it next cycle" marketing budget.

After the Apple Intelligence debacle, these embarrassingly lame efforts are literally all they can rustle up in the interim before another WWDC snoozefest followed by the traditional PR puff leading up to the new iPhone launch. This year of course being the 17 Air, whose underwhelming USP has already been usurped by the Samsung S25 Edge.

"Sterile and uninspired" epitomises Tim Cook's Apple.

Stolen device protection has been a real pain for me. It wouldn’t allow me to change my password while at home just before leaving on a trip, causing great inconvenience. Yet another feature that will now stay permanently off.
