Amazon today has up to $175 off a collection of Apple's M4 iMac computers, and it's matching a few all-time low prices on multiple models. The cheapest M4 iMac available is the 8-core/16GB RAM/256GB 24-inch iMac at $1,149.99 with an on-page coupon, down from $1,299.00.

You'll also find the 512GB models on sale, and each configuration has multiple colors available at these discounts. For the steepest markdown, Amazon has the 10-core/24GB RAM/512GB 24-inch iMac for $1,724.00 in Blue, down from $1,899.00.

Note: You won't see the deal price until checkout.

Some of these deals will require you to clip an on-page coupon in order to see the final deal price at checkout. This is mainly regarding the entry-level 8-core/256GB iMac, but a few color options from the other configurations will also require a coupon to be clipped.

8GB/256 ain't cutting it these days. That's fine in the phone world.

Minimum 16GB/512GB for any Mac I buy these days.

Edit: My mistake it's 16GB RAM, that's great -- but 256GB is pretty minimal.

Someone should sell color matched NVMe enclosures to attach to the back

My Mini M4 with booting fully off an NVMe TB enclosure worked flawlessly and was as fast/faster than the internal base SSD.

I did over a month of usage that way

A perfect way to avoid the Tim Tax

and no one forces you to buy the base grade. Actually 8/256 still wil get your job done though I agree its a way too minimalist configuration

8-core/256GB. There are literally no products with 8GB of RAM mentioned on this page.

The 256GB base storage - no disagreement there. I don't personally use much local storage, but it is a bit stingy
A few people were commenting about 8GB and I was very confused as they all start at 16 now. Makes me wonder if they even read the post before making comments.

Most people don't bother reading. A few don't know what all that technical stuff if (What is a "GB" or a "core"?)

And you know what? The vast majority only run a web browser on the Mac and 8GB RAM is overkill for that.

I've helped a few people buy computers recently and believe me, the above is true. Without help, they would have shopped using the only feature they understood, price.

These machines are mostly just used for email and web browsing, 8GB is fine for that. Your phone does way more and has 8GB

Good prices for the iMac, though it has only 256GB storage. But being a desktop can easily go for external drives for more storage space.
