Apple's M5 iPad Pro Hits Multiple Record Low Prices on Amazon

Amazon this weekend is offering discounts across the M5 iPad Pro lineup, including both 11-inch and 13-inch models. The highlight this time around is a return of a low price on the 256GB Wi-Fi 11-inch M5 iPad Pro, which is on sale for $899.00, down from $999.00.

Many of the deals in this sale match — or beat — the record low prices we tracked during the holiday season. Amazon provides an estimated delivery date around January 30 for free delivery, but Prime members should see earlier delivery dates in many cases.

I see iPads in about every cockpit video on youTube, but they seem to be almost all base models, which are good enough for apps like ForeFlight. Makes me wonder what the use case is for the more powerful models.

$899 for the 11 inch M5 iPad Pro is not a deal. That is the exact same price as the educational discount at the Apple Store. This isn't news. As the Backyardigans once said in one of their episodes, "That's not news. Call me back when you have some news!"

Costco has the M4 OLED WIFI version with 1TB (and 16GB RAM instead of 12GB) for $100 more. That would be my choice.

I'd guess the people upgrading from an M4 iPad Pro to an M5 is a very small slice of sales and not a factor as to the overall sales.
