apple's mail.app not working after google+

I use apple's mail.app to manage my multiple emails. on my main personal email i joined google+. ever since joining google+, mail.app no longer imports any email from that account. i can still send email but no new received emails import into mail.app

any help resolving this issue?

Hmm.. I didn't have to change anything on my account. Seems weird that joining google+ would change anything. But who knows...

I'd double check your account settings in gmail (my settings are below) and double check the setup in mail.( http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=180188) Also did you have it set-up as an IMAP account or POP account before?

my gmail account set up is exact same as yours. nothing has changed...you mentioned if it is set up as pop or imap. are you meaning within the mail.app settings? it is set up for pop right now, same as my 3 other gmail (but non google+) accounts - all of which are currently working.

Yes within the mail settings. Try setting it up as an IMAP account and see if that works - that's how mine is setup through mail. You need IMAP to get "two way communication" (http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=75725)
