Why has Apple seemed to adopt a minimum viable product strategy in the last few years?
Some examples . . .
1. The iPhone 7 had no 3.5mm jack, so worked especially well with the AirPods, but they weren’t available till months after the iPhone 7 was released.
2. The iPhone 8 and X have wireless charging capability, but Apple won’t be supplying its own charging pad until sometime next year. Why is not ready now?
3. The Apple Watch 3 can stream Apple Music on its own without needing its paired iPhone. Except it can’t yet, because that feature is being released sometime this month. Maybe.
4. The original Apple Watch had no charging stand, leaving the market wide open for competitors until months (a year?) later Apple released its own, which was designed by a work-experience student during their summer vacation placement.
There are other examples.
Is it wrong to expect more from a company the size and wealth of Apple?
