Amazon has a few discounts on Apple's 11th generation iPad this week, including a return of the all-time low price on the entry level model. Prices start at $319.99 for the 128GB Wi-Fi iPad, down from $349.00.

This sale is available in Blue and Yellow, while the Silver model is at a second-best price on Amazon. Although this is just a $29 discount, it remains the lowest price we've ever tracked for the new iPad, and right now only Amazon has these record low prices.

You can also get the 512GB Wi-Fi iPad for $609.00, down from $649.00. There are also a few discounts on cellular models, the best of which is the 512GB cellular iPad for $750.00, down from $799.00.

The 11th generation iPad is mainly a spec bump for the tablet line, now featuring the A16 chip and more storage, with the same design as the 10th generation iPad. The new ‌iPad‌ starts with 128GB of storage, and is also available in 256GB and a new 512GB configuration. The previous model was only available in 64GB and 256GB configurations.

Too bad it has iPadOS on it. This system is more limited and less capable than mac OS 7.5 from 1995
I’m as keen for an iPad with macOS as anyone, but this kind of attitude is just insane.

I assume (hope) you’re joking, given how ridiculous that statement is.

iPadOS may be limited but it’s still a perfectly good tablet os. In fact it’s an excellent tablet os. Not everyone is a “power user” which people here seem to forget. In fact most people are not power users, I’d argue even most people on here who think they are. Are probably not.

My wife and I use our iPads for basic things and they work great.

This device is definitely aimed at kids and education in which limitation can be a benefit.

Can u put a new folder on desktop on your ipad and save few photos there like in 1995? Oh wait it does not have a desktop..

“Hey can an iPad do this one random specific task that I chose to try prove my point, no? Haha!”

We’ve moved on from 1995 and we don’t need to “save a few random photos into a folder in a desktop.” Our phones and device syncing photos in a signal app is a far better user experience for 99% of people.

Also go on you phone or iPad
Open files.
iCloud Drive > Desktop > Dots at the top right > New folder
Move photos from other parts of file into your new folder.

I bought it for $315 at launch at Microcenter, and it was at that price for a while... This is not a record low, MacRumors!?

Makes me wonder how many posts about "record low" have also been incorrect.

Ok I want to save a few work files in a folder on a desktop of iPad for further processing or management. Oops, it does not have desktop, it is a phone system..
