So...
with all this gpu failures and what not...
I know NVIDIA is planning to use $200,000,000 to fix the issue
however...
what does this mean for current gen macbook pro owners
is apple going to replace these parts?
or only if you can prove to them that these parts are defective?

Since pretty much all articles on the web say that ALL the cards are defective... this means that everyone who owns a mbp since mid 2007 will be hit in the head with this issue :[ !!!

The thing is... if you can't prove to apple your gpu has failed or is defective in your 3 year applecare time frame then your pretty much screwed?

I think apple or NVIDIA should make an ethical decision and recall all laptops with this card and replace it with a reliable one...

Although this would cost large sums of money, NVIDIA and Apple (and all the pc manufacturers) will both have happy users ;]!
But if NVIDIA decides to ignore the issue, their downfall could be in the near future...
No major computer company will want to use their parts!
