Apple's Policy on OS Upgrades

What is Apple's policy on OS upgrades to new users? I was planning on purchasing a new PBook pretty quick here, just waiting around for a week or two to see if I can an iPod deal or something for holiday time. Come Tiger, will they make me pay the $129 or is there some newbie deal because it is only months old (assuming Tiger comes around Jan.-Mar of 05)???

You'll have to pay full pop just like everyone else. Apple is pretty non-discriminating that way. Tiger will likely not be ready until March to June of next year, so don't be too worried about it.

You don't qualify for any $19.95 Up-to-Date program until Apple officially announces a ship date.

Since Apple isn't expected make the "official announcement" for Tiger until MWSF, you won't come close to qualifying.

We're still in that pre-announcement/preview of future product stage.
