I'd like to use my iphone 5 without a case but also don't want to spend a lot of money on repairs or a new phone should the unexpected happen. Does anyone know what a replacement phone from Apple would cost assuming no AppleCare or AppleCare +?

$229 (no ac+) or $49 (ac+)

So you can have your broken iPhone replaced without applecare for a $229 fee? I didn't know about that. Got a link?

Just don't drop it. They don't break very easily. I've had every iPhone since the first and didn't use cases for a vast majority of the time. Never once cracked a screen or anything. They ignore minor damage like scrapes and scratches. Even dings.
