It's for Unitor8, AMT8, MT4 MIDI interfaces. Even if you don't own any could you run it and see if it says "your computer does not need this update" ? I'm hoping that if it's not supported it won't even let you do that.

Much to their credit, Apple has kept these drivers going even in SL! And while I won't upgrade to Lion right away it would be good to know.

Thanks!

(I put this here rather than in the audio forum because I see it more as a Lion issue, but I dunno.)

I tested this, and here are my results:

At first, the installation said "You don't need this software" (or something similar), so I thought Lion might have Unitor drivers built-in. However, further testing revealed that it doesn't. My daisy-chained AMT8s were shown in the USB bus (in System Information), but Audio MIDI setup did not see them.

Then I tried the installation again, and for some reason, now it worked, and the installation continued normally. No error messages or anything. The driver (EmagicUSBMIDIDriver.plugin) was placed in /Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers as in Snow Leopard, and now Audio MIDI setup recognized the AMT8s.

Please note that I only tested the installation; I don't yet have any audio/MIDI software installed in Lion, so I don't know if any of this actually WORKS...
