has anyone, in the US that is, checked out some of the deals on Apples refurb store? some of the deals seen very reasonable, has anyone jumped on it yet?

Yea, they are good deals. I got my 2.2 blackbook there 9 months ago for $1050. That was a real good deal then (and I still love it).
If they have whart you want buy it there. Same product. But do watch the prices some are good some not.
Yes. You will find that a lot of people around here buy refurbs.
My wife bought an MBP refurb last year that has worked great. I am looking at an Alum MB and will definitely go refurb.
It is hard to tell any difference between the two and if you are lucky you get a refurb that was an Built to Order (BTO) and will get a HD or RAM upgrade for free.
