I was bored. so I went to Apple's site just to look at the source HTML, and I came across this line:

Code:
<meta http-equiv="Expires" content="[COLOR="SeaGreen"]Fri, 26 Mar 1999[/COLOR] 23:59:59 GMT">

I don't know *too* much about HTML, but why is there code from before 1999 there?

Perhaps because it was coded in 1999 and there was no need to change it?
And boy you've got some time on your hands!

Dude,

I have a production system that celebrated its 20th Birthday on Friday.

Just because its old doesn't mean it isn't useful!

I was looking at a book the other day and it was written in 1989. Why is this? Is it still safe to read it?

At least the site doesn't still look like it was done in 1999.

That book is expired, and is no longer safe. Please burn immediately.

Are you serious? I hate Apple's site, I think it's ugly. Not only that, they have so much useless stuff... I just think they need a different layout, and a more business feel. Instead of cheap consumer feel, of course I think that's Apple's new line to aim for...

Business feel? Why? Apple is a consumer electronics company.
