Apple's Xgrid - multi computational link

Does anyone know if the new XGrid 2 application will support multiple CAD renders on Carrara Studio 3 or Ashlar Vellum Cobalt? Does anyone here actually use XGrid 1?

I didn't know anything about this application until I found the preview to XGrid 2 on Apple's News page. Anyone been using it?
