i got bored this evening at around seven and decided to play around with automator. i have never used it before so i just decided to see if i could write an action to preform a complex itunes syncing process between my ibook and my imac. one step at a time. i got pretty far into my workflow when i hit a wall. i needed to take a bunch of files and then make alias's of them and put all the alias's (aliai?) in a separate folder. can automator make an alias (out of the box fresh install)? it dosnt seem so

one of the most simple actions you would expect Automator.app to be able to preform would be to make an alias of a file. yet i can't for the life of me find a provided "make alias" action. i looked into writing a simple applescript to provide the same results but was once again stumped.

is there anyone who has been able to get either automator or applescript to make a simple alias?
can you help me out?
