I have quite a few songs in my iTunes with names that begin with some track number. I'd like the numbers to be gone, but I don't want to change the name of each song individually. Is there a way I can automate this with Automator or AppleScript? I don't have any experience with either.

If there's a script or plugin I can download to do this, that will be fine. But I'd prefer to learn to do it myself with AppleScript if it's easy. Thanks in advance!

Thanks; the "Remove n Characters From Front or Back" script made it quite easy.

The Track Parser script that I bolded will strip the numbers off the song names and put those numbers in the track number tag, rather than just deleting them.
