Hi,

I have a basic knowledge of scripting. I have made a database in Filemaker for my own business. 'Current DB". I want to be able to ensure that backups are done, so I wanted a script to do the backup on clicking my FMP "Quit" button.

I have made an Automator app that partially does that. (It's not on the DB) It finds the Folder but pauses for the user to click the file desired. Once clicked it copies it to the backup folder, changes the name and adds the date. "Current DB 19/05/2018" There is nowhere in Automator (that I can see) that can go to the file. I can add an AppleScript snippet on Automator but can't see how to do this.

Ideally, I want to run this Applescript or Automator using my own "Quit" button on the DB Home page.

I hope this makes sense and hopefully, some kind person can help.

All the best,

Henry
