macOS Applescript to switch to target mode in iMac 27"

Hi,

I need to switch to target display mode on my 27" iMac right after boot. I've tried to use keyboard input recorder to create a sequence that I was going to play back at startup, but it did not work.

Any of you know how to switch to target mode from applescript?

I'm looking for a similar solution. The only reason I have my Mac keyboard on my desk is so I can switch back and forth the target display mode. I can't seem to be able to switch modes using any other keyboard - only the Apple one seems to work. Is there an option in the software that I could use instead?

After some searching I didn't see anything to achieve this from the command line, a script, etc.

Ah, well no worries. Thanks anyway. I hope Apple introduce some sort of software switch within OSX to handle this.
