Applescript wont copy Please Help

I am using automator and applescript to get information from a website. Simple stuff I know. But all the sudden none of my scripts or the Get text from webpage option are copying anything. I have tried watch me and doing through the menu bar (Edit->copy) but it is shaky at best I need something solid. Tried Apple key and C under watch me, tried get text from webpage, tried the usual script to copy with keystroke "c" using command down. I don't understand why the only way I can copy now is manually.
