Hi there,
I'm new (as you can probably guess from my post count) and hope, I included every information, that's important. Here comes my problem.
First:
I didn't wrote an AppleScript! It's a problem with every AppleScript program I tried.
The Problem:
Whenever I try to run an AppleScript program(!)(for example a Script from Doug's AppleScript for itunes), it simply won't run and gives no error. I double click the script, the Dock makes a little room for the Script Icon, but before that can show up, it just removes the little space again. It's like starting an App and before it can show up, close it.
The weird part:
If I open the AppleScript with the Scripteditor and hit "Run", it just start up and run. No errors, no message dialogs. It just run until the end.
Normal AppleScripts (so Type "Script" and not "Program") run totally fine.
My guess and research:
I didn't find any problem concerning an AppleScript, that won't start or at least without errors. I can't think of any App or PrefPane, where I changed that. But perhaps it has something to do with my Intel? But then again. A friend of mine has a MBP and don't have this problem with the same scripts.
My hardware:
I have a MacBook from the first generation, so with an Intel Core Duo 1.83 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB harddisk, a Combodrive and the usual stuff.
I would be really happy for any ideas, solutions or hints. The problem is bugging me for a while now.
PS: My Mac OS X is in german. I hope, I translated every system property fine.
