How can you run an AppleScript applet (.app extension) without having to click RUN or QUIT when the script starts? - Also do I just put the .app into the start on login box in SYS PREF

Put in where you want to store it. Then open up System preferences, and in Accounts, drag and drop your app AppleScript into the StartUp Items. Then, when you log in, it should automatically do the Apple Script. Same can be done for mounted drives. Mount them normally, then drag and drop them into the StartUp Items and they should mount on startup. And if you save your username and password to keychains, it should do it without asking for a password.

When you save the script, make sure the "Startup Screen" option on the save dialog is off.
