applet loading problem

The problem: after "software update" is done in MAC, the applet can't be loaded via browser.

firefox: the blank area
safari: coffee cup

The system info:

MAC 10.5.6
Firefox: 3.0.6
Safari: 3.2.1
Java: J2SE 5.0 (Java Preferences)

Any suggestions?
